The Master of Arts in Educational Technology (a primarily online degree program) is designed for educators seeking to integrate educational technology into the K-12 curriculum and into other educational settings including higher education and other organizations. The degree will prepare you for educational technology leadership roles in school systems at the regional, district, building, and classroom level as well as within your higher education institution or organization.
As a primarily online degree program, the Master of Arts in Educational Technology allows you the flexibility to participate in and complete most or all of your coursework without having to commute to campus. While all EDT courses are online, you may choose from online or traditional courses to complete the Technology Minor Core and the Educational Research Course (see Program Requirements). It is possible to take as few as 15 credit hours online and as many as all 30-33 credits hours online. Many students are able to complete their EDT Graduate studies online without ever stepping on campus.
The Educational Technology Program prepares you with specialized knowledge and competencies required for the instructional use of educational technology. Upon completing courses of study, you will have the skills to provide leadership in educational policy and practice for the use of various forms of educational technology.
