Dan Gaymer is a Faculty Specialist in Educational Leadership and Organizational Learning and Performance in the Educational Leadership, Research and Technology Department, College of Education and Human Development at Western Michigan University. He earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University and has an MSA from Central Michigan and a BBA from Wayne State University. Dr. Gaymer teaches courses in the OLP program including Leadership and Project and Change Management, and teaches EDLD courses in leadership, higher education finance, community colleges, and politics and policy formation. His research interests revolve around higher education organizations, with an emphasis on the impact of the external environment using qualitative methods. Prior to joining WMU Dr. Gaymer was an Associate Dean at Eastern Michigan University, a director of Continuing Education at a private business college , and an adjunct faculty. He also spent a number of years in the private sector including business ownership and several years with an international chemical company.
