TUITION FOR THE SUMMER TRANSLATION INSTITUTE (2009)

 

The first step for prospective students is to send in their application form to the Department of Foreign Languages, along with a non-refundable $50 application fee. See the details on the application form.

Students who are accepted into the program will pay the following tuition and fees.  Payment will be due near the time the program begins.  

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

(Any student who does not have a Bachelor’s degree)

$1487.30     Tuition*
$   250.00    Institute fee
$     20.00    Technology fee
$     40.00    Admissions fee (Waived for students who have previously taken classes at WMU)

$1797.30    Total

 

GRADUATE STUDENTS

(Any student who has a Bachelor’s degree or higher)

$2102.50    Tuition*
$   250.00    Institute fee
$     20.00    Technology fee
$     40.00    Admissions fee (Waived for students who have previously taken classes at WMU)

$2412.50    Total

* The tuition covers 5 credit hours of instruction.  For more details about the classes, click here.  The tuition does not include the cost of textbooks for the classes.  

Financial aid, including loans, may be available.  Students should file a FAFSA with the Student Financial Aid Office to determine eligibility for loans.  In discussions with the Financial Aid Office, please be sure to emphasize that you will be a full-time student in a short-term program.  If you are already a WMU student receiving loans or scholarships, please consult Student Financial Aid Office to confirm that your financial aid will extend to summer programs.
