HOUSING FOR THE SUMMER TRANSLATION INSTITUTE

 

The Summer Translation Institute will have two options for students who need housing.

(1) The university has some on-campus and off-campus apartments that can be rented by an month-to-month lease for approximately $700 per month.  The university will be able to help with arranging housing in the university apartments once the summer approaches.  For more information on the university apartments, see http://www.wmich.edu/apartment/.  

(2)Students will have the option to sublet off-campus housing from other local students.   Since Kalamazoo has a large student population, there are many apartments around the city that become available when students leave Kalamazoo for the summer.  The Institute does not take responsibility for off-campus housing obtained through sublets, but information about subletting housing can be obtained directly from through the classified ads in the Western Herald (the campus student newspaper).   To access that information, please go to http://www.westernherald.com/ and click on "Classifieds." 

More details regarding housing will be made available when the Institute staff contacts students regarding their applications due on April 15.
