Blickle Wins Potash Prose Award

 

Peter Blickle, Professor of German, won the 2009 Geertje Potash Prose Prize of the Society for Contemporary American Literature in German (SCALG),which publishes the German-American literary journal Trans-Lit2, organizes readings and workshops, and awards two literary prizes, one in prose and the other in poetry.  Besides a monetary award, this prize includes publication in Trans-Lit2.  Dr. Blickle won with his short story "Spazierstock" (Walking Cane).  It explores contemporary issues of masculinity, comparing them from German and American Angles.
