The
Chinese program in the Department of Foreign Languages offers
students an integrated approach to the study of Chinese language
and culture. Emphasis is placed on the four language skills
within the cultures they serve as well as on linguistic and
literary analysis. Students are encouraged to explore China
in countless ways---through Chinese life and culture in its
traditional and contemporary forms, through participation
in WMU Chinese Culture and Language Club and other activities,
and through the WMU study-in-China programs.
