Voicemail or call waiting features are available at a billed monthly fee. Besides the monthly fee, there is a one-time charge of $23 for adding phone service or an additional feature. Long distance service is handled by personal cell phones or the use of pre-paid calling cards which are sold at the WMU Bookstore in the Bernhard Center.

The apartments are wired for Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phones and only the custom Cisco VoIP phone sold by Residence Life, 3510 Faunce Student Services building, will function in the apartments.
