Wireless connections are available all over inside and outside at Western Michigan University, except within main-campus individual residence hall rooms. Wireless connections are less secure than wired connections. If you choose to use a wireless connection, you should be cautious about what sort of information you transmit. For example, if you visit websites that require a login name and password, or credit card information or other personal information, be aware that the information you enter is not secure and consider using the VPN.
