Western Michigan University Internet Access Procedure
- Turn on computer, insure wireless capability is active, and bring up an internet browser
- The WMU IP Address Registration web page should appear but if it does not, type the following URL in the address window: http://141.218.23.12/add.htm
- Accept network usage policy at the bottom of the page
- If you get a security alert, click OK
- Login with the following credentials
- User Name: iscsc_del
- Password: 39iscsc
- Click OK
- Fill in the form that appears:
- First Name of Guest
- Last Name of Guest
- Ten digit phone number, no dashes or spaces but include area code
- Use the drop down arrow to choose Fetzer as the building
- Choose an appropriate OS
You will receive a message to shutdown, wait 5 minutes and restart. Follow these directions. You must shutdown and restart to get connected. You may use the network for your remaining time at this conference. The wireless network is available virtually everywhere on campus except in the rooms of residence halls. If you are staying in Hoekje Hall, you will not be able to access the internet from your room, but the network is available in public areas of Hoekje.
For your convenience, you can also call or visit the OIT Help Desk between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The telephone number is (269) 387-4357, option 1, and the location is in the University Computing Center on the 2nd floor.
