Bio:

Wayne Bond joined the WMU Haenicke Institute for Global Education in 2011, roughly a year after graduating from Albion College’s Liberal Arts program. His time playing collegiate basketball for the college and his upbringing abroad has allowed him the flexibility, determination and team work dynamic that has allowed his smooth transition into the Haenicke Institute.

Bond began his work in the Haenicke Institute as the activities coordinator for the Center for English Language and Culture for International Students. He transitioned in to WMU International Student Activities in 2014 and serves as the lead coordinator for the annual International Festival.

As a recent graduate from Western Michigan Universities Master of International Development Administration program, he seeks to return to his studies as a Master in the Arts of Sociology program at WMU as well. When he is not managing events and developing programs for the students, Bond can be found cheering on Jon Snow’s campaign as King of the North in Game of Thrones.

Wayne Bond has substantial international experience that helps him in working with international students at WMU.
