Global Engagement Fund

The Diether H. Haenicke Institute for Global Education is committed to supporting the larger efforts towards global engagement undertaken by the Western Michigan University community.

The WMU Global Engagement Fund offers co-funding for activities that enhance global engagement on campus. These include, but are not limited to, visiting scholar events; support for conferences or workshops at WMU; and other internationalization activities.

Funding requests for events in the coming 12 months will be reviewed two times per year by a committee. Applications are due November 1 and April 1. It is expected that Haenicke Institute support will be in addition to department and/or college support. Grants will generally be around $500, with a maximum of $1,000.
