Please share your research, practices and perceptions.
The explosive growth of the Internet and the myriad ebusiness offerings from ecommerce to entertainment to instantaneous communication are astounding. Creating a website for a business is now a basic requirement, but if it is not coupled with a robust Internet marketing plan that accounts for social media as well as search engine optimization, no one will frequent the site. Once clients and customers land on a digital domain, businesses must work to maximize page views and return visits, as well as enhance site customization and overall usability to increase both customer interaction and loyalty.
Electronic business marketing is truly an interdisciplinary field that requires those with knowledge of both Internet technologies and marketing in this new digital economy. It is no longer enough to design web pages or analyze your target market segment; instead, professionals need to understand aspects of both disciplines. In this track we will explore those intersections between the two as we work to increase this cross-disciplinary knowledge base.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Creating an Effective Online Presence
- Effective Search Engine Optimization
- Internet Advertising Analysis and Techniques
- Optimizing Web Sites
- Social Media Marketing
- Social Networking and Marketing
- Working within the Long Tail
