Dr. Han's teaching and research interests include database and system modeling, mathematical optimization for system design, IT innovation and management, ERP systems management, and innovative use of IT for collaborative teaching and learning. He has served on the editorial review board for International Journal of Operations and Quantitative Management and Journal of Information Technology and Management. His research has appeared in journals such as Communications of the ACM, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Information and Decision Technologies, IEEE Transactions, Human Systems Management, and among others. His recent research is focused on IT education and curriculum design, in particular, with respect to its added value and delivery pedagogy.
In addition to being a CIS advisor, Han is the coordinator for the Health Informatics & Information Management (HiiM) major. He is also the Director of the Center for Health Informatics and Technology Advancement (CHITA) program.
