Stephanie Means, MS  



Stephanie Means is a Ph.D. student in Interdisciplinary Evaluation. She has a Bachelor and Master Degree in Engineering Management from Western Michigan University. In 2001, Stephanie worked for Menasha Corporation as a Manufacturing Management Trainee, working on various projects and assignments to improve machine processes, maintenance, and material flow. Ms. Means also initiated "5S" and lean manufacturing programs on numerous work areas. From 2002-2004, while attending graduate school, Stephanie worked with the Human Performance Institute on projects that included investigating the relationship between patient acuity, time standards, and productivity, evaluating the physiological work demands on registered nurses, and establishing a set of standard operating procedures for random time studies in a hospital setting. Ms. Means is currently working with the Institute in determining force requirements and lumbar pressure for a backrest that is rated as comfortable for two torso positions.
