Ella Lambrix is an undergraduate student research associate for the Human Performance Institute, a Division of the Industrial & Manufacturing Department at Western Michigan University. She will be graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering from WMU in 2008. In the summer of 2006, Ms. Lambrix collected data for a research project that investigated the relationship between patient acuity, time standards, and productivity Ms. Lambrix helped collect data for research involving human pressure mapping and postural analysis. She also worked on a research project entiled "Determining force requirements and lumbar pressure for a backrest that is rated as comfortable for two torso positions". She was also involved in different research projects in the area of medical product design that involved biomechanical and postural analyses.
