
This federally funded program financially supports each of the accepted graduate students in two ways. One way is without a graduate assistant position and another is with a graduate assistant position.
Each of the accepted graduate students who do not want to have a graduate assistant position are still provided with free tuition and textbooks.
This federally funded program financially supports each of the accepted graduate students who are offered a graduate assistant position with not only free tuition and textbooks, but also a monthly stipend. For receiving monthly stipends, a graduate student must work in the on-campus adapted physical education lab for 20 hours per week. [Application Form] ![]()
In addition, graduate assistant positions are available in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at Western Michigan University. A graduate student who accepts a department graduate assistant position must teach physical activity courses to university students for 12 credit hours per week. [Application Form] ![]()
It is also acceptable that an accepted graduate student prefers not to receive any financial support from this funded project. He or she can then pay the tuition based the rate posted on the EUP Program.
