New employee orientation
Policy is located in Employee Handbook. Procedure follows:
Procedure New employment orientation
- Upon receipt of a new employee's Appointment Form indicating benefits eligibility, Human Resources will schedule the new employee to attend the next Orientation session. Orientation
normally requires a day-and-a-half and is held once a month.
- Human Resources sends the new employee a notice of their scheduled Orientation, along
with benefits material for review prior to Orientation. A copy of this notice is also sent
to the employee's supervisor.
- Supervisors are to provide their new employees with the necessary release time to attend
Orientation.
