HPS Research Interests
My current research interests focus on ethical issues in nanotechnology and in information technology. The study of nanoethics is new, so part of my research is an attempt to discover what the issues are and the best methodologies for tackling them. Environmental and health issues, privacy, human enhancement, and the precautionary principle have been a particular focus recently. In the area of ethics and information technology I have most recently concentrated on trust and the internet, electronic monitoring in the workplace, and information and communication technology governance.
