My name is Shelby Sword, and I’m from Adrian, MI, and my major is Film, Video and Media Studies.
What I love most about living on campus is that there’s so many people to meet and you can do so many activities like Zumba classes, and I’ve met people in the laundry room. There’s so many different activities that you can do. I love living with a roommate. We get along so well. Western matches you up very good. We bounce ideas off of each other, she teaches me new things and I teach her new things every single day.
A piece of advice I’d give to incoming freshmen is to not limit your choices, really look around and take campus visits, and just really chose the school that you feel most comfortable at, and I felt the most comfortable here.
