Hoekje Hall

Hoekje Hall is a unique community for transfer students. Even though everyone has previous college experience, transferring to a new institution can be intimidating. Hoekje Hall is designed to ease the transition with activities and social events to connect you with other students and WMU.

House highlights

• Residents a mixture of new transfer students and those with at least a semester’s experience at WMU
• Activities focus on getting you acquainted with WMU and other transfer students
• Networking with key faculty and administrators on campus
• Tools provided for continued academic success
• Some student staff members were transfer students themselves
• Ample parking located in front of Hoekje Hall
• Late-night Carryout is offered until 11 p.m. at Hoekje/Bigelow Dining Service
• Hoekje Hall located next to the Bernhard Center

How do I sign up for the community?

During the online sign-up process you will be asked to select a special interest housing option. Simply select Hoekje Transfer Hall as your preference and indicate Hoekje Hall as your hall preference. Space is limited, so list an additional three residence hall preferences.

Current WMU students interested in living in Hoekje Hall should come to the Office of Residence Life to sign up.
