As You Near Graduation
As you near graduation, you will need to have an audit performed so that WMU can assess whether all requirements for the degree have been met. You will need a signed Major Slip. Two semesters before graduation (or two semesters before internship for PED/SED majors), fill out a request to have your Major Slip signed in the Department Office at 4301 Friedmann Hall. The Office will print out your official transcript so that your faculty advisor can assess whether you have met the requirements for the major. You will be instructed to return to pick up the signed Major Slip and given copies of it, one to take to the College of Arts and Sciences, and one for your records.
You should only request one audit from the history department during your years at WMU. You should keep yourself informed of your progress towards meeting the requirements of the major by regular meetings with your faculty advisor.
