though the History Department office hours are 8-5, faculty members

- The
Department of History operates an Undergraduate Advising Office
located at 4451 Friedmann Hall. The Advising Office is supervised
by the Director of Undergraduate Studies, and is staffed by either
the Director or other faculty members. Regular office hours, designed
to meet a variety of student needs and schedules, are established

- When
you were admitted to WMU you should have received notification
of which courses transferred to WMU as well as their WMU equivalents.
Simply match those equivalents against the requirements on the
Major or Minor Slip. If you have questions, or if some courses
are not given equivalent course numbers at WMU, see the Director
of Undergraduate Studies (Dr.
Cheryl Lyon-Jenness).
- Come
to the History Department office and fill out the necessary paperwork.
You will then be assigned to an advisor within about 10 days. We
will notify you of the advisor to whom you have been assigned,
and of his or her office hours.
- Your
audit should be done well in advance of your last year at WMU.
This will allow you time to take any additional classes needed
