Dr. Peter J. Schmitt

Professional Activities

    Dr. Schmitt has presented numerous papers and workshops at meetings of the National Popular Culture Association, Michigan American Studies Association, Michigan Society of Architects, and Great Lakes History Association, and many workshops to local government units, historical commissions, and public interest groups. He has been a consultant for a number of local government units and citizen groups on problems of historic preservation and interpretation of structures and government records, and participated in the Shoreline Humanities Project with a grant from Michigan Council for the Humanities.
