Teaching I have taught several courses in Medieval history and Western Civilization both here at WMU and at Indiana University South Bend. I am currently teaching History 300, Arts and Ideas: Ancient and Medieval. I am interested in all aspects of Western Civilization, particularly religious and intellectual history. Research My research focuses on the interpretation of the Bible in the Middle Ages, especially the Epistles of St. Paul. My first book was a translation of a tenth-century apocalyptic commentary on St. Pauls Second Epistle to the Thessalonians (Medieval Institute Publications, 2001). I am currently working on translations of the Romans commentaries of Peter Abelard and Photius of Constantinople and a critical edition of the commentaries of Atto of Vercelli on St. Pauls epistles. |
