The annual conference brings together historians working on all eras of medieval history. For 2017 the featured speaker will be Ruth Mazo Karras (University of Minnesota, Twin Cities). The Conference will take place from mid-day Friday through Saturday evening. For a full schedule of speakers and events, please see the program.
The registration fee for the conference is $75 for regular attendees and $50 for graduate students and includes the conference lunch on Saturday, September 30. To avoid a late free, please register before September 1. Online Registration will be open after August 1. Please check back after that time for the registration link.
When registering, attendees will have the option of attending the Conference Banquet held on Saturday evening, September 30, at the Wine Loft, which is located just one block from the conference hotel at 161 West Michigan Avenue. Those intending to attend the banquet must book in advance through the online registration system.
All conference presentations will be held in the Kirsch Auditorium on the ground floor of WMU’s Fetzer Center and the conference lunch will be held in nearby rooms. Free parking is available in the Fetzer Center Guest Lot (Lot 72) directly in front of the building.
A block of rooms has been reserved in the Radisson Hotel in the Kalamazoo Center at 100 West Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo MI 49007 in downtown Kalamazoo, and attendees may arrive as early as Thursday evening. Conference attendees must contact the Radisson directly to arrange for their accommodations. To reserve a room using the conference discounted block rate, you should phone the hotel directly at (269) 343-3333. When booking please mention that you are attending the Midwest Medieval History Conference.
