I had major surgery on my neck in May at the New England Baptist Hospital, the best orthopedic place around. It was a residue of my car accident back in December 1974, which many will recall. I am recovering well, still with PT, and getting stronger and more mobile.
Following my retirement in 1994, Jean and I moved back to our native Massachusetts, and reside now in America's Hometown, Plymouth. I subsequently joined the Chancellor's and Provost's staff of UMass Dartmouth, the smallest of five UMass campuses, near New Bedford. I handled a myriad of assignments for the Chancellor in Development, Admissions and Enrollment Management, University Research, and Continuing Education and then as Special Assistant for two Provosts, and retired again after ten years.
My two children, David and Carolyn, are both on the Other Coast (San Francisco and Eugene, OR) and Jean's grandchildren, are nearby on Boston's South Shore.
My fondest wishes to my former colleagues.
