Students who wish to major in social work will be admitted to the pre-social work curriculum at the time of admission to the university. This status, however, does not guarantee admission to the professional social work curriculum. Upon completion of 45 credit hours of college coursework and the course SWRK 2100: Social Work Services and Professional Roles, students may submit an application for admission to the School of Social Work. Application deadlines are January 15, May 15, and October 1 of each year.
In conformance with the requirements of the Council on Social Work Education, the School of Social Work can not grant social work course credit or field hours for life experience or previous work experience.
