| The School of Social Work has a limited number of scholarships available to assist students during their programs of study. The criterion for each scholarship varies. Applications are provided by the School of Social Work and are due before the start of the fall semester each year. Applications for the following scholarships are not provided until the applicant is accepted into a master of social work program. | |

| College Work-study Programs. College Work-study is a need-based financial aid program funded by the Federal Government and the State of Michigan. It is awarded to exceptionally needy students who are enrolled at least half-time during the period of their employment. In order to apply, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form must be filed. This form can be secured online. Work-study awards and amounts are subject to eligibility requirements and fund availability. Early application is very important. All M.S.W. students are encouraged to apply. Students receiving work-study funding are encouraged to apply for work in the School of Social Work.
