| The School of Social Work has a limited number of scholarships available to assist students during their programs of study. The criterion for each scholarship varies. Applications are provided by the School of Social Work and are due before the start of the fall semester each year. Applications for the following scholarships are not provided until the applicant is accepted into a master of social work program. | |

| The School of Social Work employs three to six graduate assistants to facilitate the program objectives of the School and the professional or teaching objectives of faculty members. The assistantships are available to students who plan to take six or more credit hours for two consecutive semesters. Participation in the professional activities of the department for a specified number of hours (10 hours in the case of a one-half appointment) is required.
Application for an assistantship can be made to the School of Social Work after the student has been offered admission. Students with evidence of professional academic interest and abilities for meeting specific programmatic needs receive priority consideration for appointment to graduate assistantships. Scholastic merit and/or financial need will be considered, but are secondary to the stated priority. |
