Graduate Connections
Welcome to Graduate Connections, our new School of Social Work graduate organization. Several graduates of the program have been meeting to discuss ways to meet the needs of graduates of the School of Social Work. The group focused on being able to connect on a regular basis with other graduates for social purposes, networking purposes, educational purposes, and to foster a continuing sense of connection to the School of Social Work (SSW).
One of the first things the group requested was a newsletter. Graduates requested a forum in which to learn about what’s happening at the SSW, what’s happening with their colleagues, and what’s happening in social work education and theory. As such, links are below for the issues of our newsletter, which is also called Graduate Connections.

Peer Reading Circle: A Graduate Connections group that reads and discusses professional articles and books on the third Thursday of each month from 7-9 p.m. at Panera Bread on S. Westnedge Avenue. Material will be selected by participants. Please contact Melinda at melinda.m.mccormick@wmich.edu to rsvp and obtain the article for discussion.
