Marion R. Spear Occupational Therapy Clinic
Both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the occupational therapy programs have a unique opportunity to practice their skills in the College of Health and Human Services' Unified Clinics, operated on the university's campus in a new, state-of-the-art facility shared with intern and resident programs attached to Michigan State University. The experience is especially valuable because it allows students to work in teams with other students in areas such as speech therapy, audiology, geriatric assessment, vision rehabilitation, and developmental disability. The clinics serve the wider Kalamazoo community, so a microcosm of real-life situations is presented for educational as well as treatment purposes.
