Upon receipt of a complete and signed application, the department will calculate the Grade Point Average (GPA) for the applicant.  The written narratives for those applicants with a GPA above the minimum are then reviewed and scored by the occupational therapy faculty.  The average GPA of those admitted to the program for Fall 2009 was 3.54.

Each application receives a Total Application Score that is a formula based compellation of the applicants’ GPA, the score on Narrative One: Work and/or Volunteer Experiences, the score on Narrative Two: Statement of Leadership Roles, and the score on Narrative Three: Statement of Cultural/Ethnic Diversity and Competence.

The total application scores for all applicants are ranked from highest to lowest.  The number of applicants with the highest total application scores needed to fill the class will be admitted with a small number of applicants being placed on a “waiting list”
