Indexes over 1,000 journals in nursing and related fields with abstracts
from 1986 to the present and indexing from 1982 to the present.
Evidence-based medicine databases including systematic reviews and
a controlled trials register on the effects of health care.
Dome (Communications Sciences and Disorders Dome) restricted
The ComDis Dome is an index for speech-language pathologists, audiologists,
and students. It includes articles, books, dissertations, grants,
Web resources, scholars and institutions pertinent to your profession.
You must search our local library catalog to find the books or articles,
or use the link from the Dome to purchase them. An animated tutorial
is available on the site.
The Dome offers
features not found in typical research databases:

Covers world-wide literature in psychology and related disciplines.
Journal articles, technical reports, books, book chapters, and dissertations
are included. Coverage: 1887-present. Updated weekly.

PubMed is the National Library of Medicine's interface for searching
MEDLINE, the major index to medical research, from clinical medicine
to cellular and biomolecular biology. Provides free citations and
abstracts, but limited full text. Coverage: 1966 - present. Updated
Tips for using PubMed effectively are found in the NLM PubMed tutorial
and UFL PubMed tutorial.
Health information from the National Library of Medicine presented
accessibly for professionals and non-professionals.
One time registration required. Free access to Medline, and access
to full-text medical articles.
Database for scientific research that contains the citations and
abstracts of more than 1,800 Elsevier journals in the life, physical,
medical, technical, and social sciences as well as selected full
text articles. Science Direct can be searched as a database or browsed
by individual title. Coverage varies.
