Person-directed services expands the range of choices to consumers to participate in decisions that affect their lives. Person-directed services gives consumers the control over deciding when, where and how they will receive
services and supports. Consumers selecting person-directed services can choose the staff they wish to hire to provide their service, and the types and amount of support they want to purchase.
Person-directed services requires that consumers have an individual budget. Community mental health can assist the individual in determining their budget.
