The Department offers four Master’s degree programs:

Vision Rehabilitation Therapy (VRTM)
Vision rehabilitation therapists offer adults who are blind or visually impaired information the specialized methods or adaptive techniques for communication and coping with the demands of daily living.

Rehabilitation Counseling/Teaching (RCTM)
This Program prepares graduates to provide a full range of vocational rehabilitation counseling services to individuals with cognitive, physical, psychiatric, and sensory disabilities.

Teacher of Children with Visual Impairments (TVIM) and/or Orientation and Mobility for Children (OMCM)
The focus in this program is on the specific skills required for helping children with visual impairments to learn to lead full and productive lives.

Orientation and Mobility for Working-Age Adults (OMOM)
Orientation and mobility (O&M) is an exciting discipline in low vision and blind rehabilitation that teaches people to travel safely, efficiently and independently in their environment.
