Mrs. Catherine A. Brady
Social Work

Cathy has over nineteen years experience providing outpatient clinical services in the Kent County community and has been a member of Pine Rest’s Senior Care Services since 2003. She has well-developed expertise working with the older adult population, and she has spoken at local and national aging conferences on issues related to older adults and their caregivers.

 

Mrs. JoAnne Hodder
Health Studies
BS, WMU, 1992
Grand Rapids, MI  

With over 27 years of experience, JoAnne has been a leader in the field of dental hygiene. She has received numerous government and community appointments, including the Michigan Board of Dentistry and the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners. JoAnne uses her passion for dentistry to help underserved members of the community and currently chairs the Mel Trotter Ministries Community Dental Health Outreach program.   

 

Mrs. Beverly Ann Love
Holistic Health
BBA, WMU, 1996
Portage, MI

For over 15 years, Beverly has been a proponent of holistic health care and healing for members of the Kalamazoo community. She serves as Development Committee chairperson on the Board of Directors of The Community Healing Centers, a network of healing service providers and facilities. Beverly is also a longstanding member of the Kalamazoo Garden Club, part of a national organization focused on local, state and nation-wide natural environmental beautification projects.  

 

Dr. Barbara A. Rider
Occupational Therapy
Ph.D., University of Michigan
Kalamazoo, MI

Barbara, professor emeriti at Western Michigan University, is a visionary and national and international advocate for the profession of occupational therapy. She served two terms on the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners and presently serves as chairperson of the Board of the Kalamazoo County Department of Human Services. Barbara is an active member in AMBUCS and other non-profit organizations that provide services to persons with disabilities. 

 

Dr. Frederic W. Sammons
Occupational Therapy

Kalamazoo, MI

Fred is the founder of Sammons Preston, Inc., the largest, worldwide distributor of rehabilitation equipment and supplies, and continues to be a consultant with the company.  He is a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and a recipient of the Award of Merit, the highest honor offered by the AOTA. He is an active member in AMBUCS and other non-profit organizations that provide services to persons with disabilities. 

 

Ms. Diana R. Sieger

Diana’s leadership spans more than 31 years and encompasses a passion for excellence in making positive impact in every facet of community life. She has been the President of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation since 1987. Diana provides strategic leadership for current and potential donors and corporate leaders, key community organizations and the community-at-large. 

  

Mr. Donald C. Werme
Mathematics and Physics

Kalamazoo, MI  

For more than 40 years, Don has been an advocate of providing quality healthcare to all members of society, using entrepreneurial experience that spans many areas of health services. Since 2004, he has served as Coordinator of the Barry County Healthcare Coalition, a group of businesses that work to keep health care cost reasonable, and as a member of the greater Kalamazoo area Touchdown for Diabetes, a collaborative initiative that raises funds to treat under-insured and underserved individuals with diabetes.
