About CHHS

Dean's Welcome

Dear Friends,

Photo of Dean Earlie M. WashingtonThe College of Health and Human Services at WMU offers nationally recognized and ranked programs that bring its graduates distinct career advantages. We hope that you will look through our website to learn more about the college's academics, students, faculty, alumni, and community networks.

Our faculty are among the best in the country, and manage major grants from organizations such as the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Education. They author textbooks; publish in refereed journals; teach and conduct research abroad; present at international, national, regional, and state conferences; and are maximally engaged in the community.

We are also proud of the learning and teaching environment we provide for our students and faculty. Since fall 2005, we have resided in our new, 195,000 square foot building on the University's Oakland Drive Campus. The building features a student commons; classrooms; laboratories; distance learning classrooms; a human anatomy suite; a learning resource center; a motion research and physical activity laboratory; a research wet laboratory; a communication laboratory suite; and faculty and administrative offices for every college academic unit.

Whether you are a prospective student, faculty, or staff member, one of our outstanding alumni or emeriti, or a friend, please browse our website, and have a closer look at what we do.
