Nathalie Peterson is seeking a master’s degree in occupational therapy at Western Michigan University. She received her bachelor of arts in film and literature from the University of Michigan. After graduating with honors, Peterson moved to San Francisco where she lived for almost 20 years. During this time, Peterson produced documentary film work, served as photo editor for a national magazine, and produced innovative, award-winning photography and video content in the early days of the tech start-up Airbnb. Peterson wore many hats as a creative producer and greatly enjoyed her work. Ready for a change and longing to live closer to family, she returned to Kalamazoo. In addition to her studies in occupational therapy, Peterson is completing graduate certificates in both integrative holistic health and the specialty program in alcohol and drug abuse and plans to focus her work on the developmental effects in children from trauma. Peterson enjoys photography, design, reading biographies, reviving her 1927 cottage, gardening, interval training and fitness, her friends and family, great dinner parties, and spending time outdoors with her best friend, Oliver the terrier.
