Abstract: This study is a secondary analysis of the 1994 National Household Population Survey of Canada. The central focus is a comparison between drinking groups by gender across many variables, including demographic, physical and mental health, sense of coherence, stress levels, and social support. Comparisons will attempt to show similarities and differences between the groups and discuss policy implications for the future.
