Your Security & Privacy

Google Apps for Education accounts at WMU are managed and administered by the Office of Information Technology. IT manages user account creation, deletion, restoration, authentication and message delivery as well as technical capabilities and features of the Google Apps for Education system. IT may enable or disable features of the system as necessary to maintain functionality or provide additional levels of privacy and security. IT may not access or transfer ownership of your personal data except under circumstances that require legal or regulatory compliance or upon explicit request of an individual to provide technical support. Passwords and WMU's Google Apps system

When you log in to your WMU Google account via the Web or mobile device, you log in using WMU's  Central Authentication Service (CAS) with your Bronco NetID. That service will then pass on assurance of your identity and authorization to Google without passing on your password. 

University Policy and Google Apps

Under the terms of WMU's agreement with Google, WMU continues to own its own data, so consequently its security and privacy policies continue to apply for members of the WMU campus community using Google Core Apps.
