Entering students should have an undergraduate major which
includes field geology and supporting course work in biology, chemistry,
physics and mathematics and computer science. Emphasis may be in environmental geology or
hydrogeology or many areas of traditional geology.
Students may elect to enroll in an interdisciplinary program
of study in environmental science, with a concentration or an interdisciplinary
program of study in the earth sciences of astronomy, oceanography, meteorology,
and geology. This program may also be used in preparation for a career in
secondary or community college teaching.
Research degree designed for persons intending to take
leadership roles in teaching, research, and applied areas of hydrology.
