Environmental & Resource Analysis Concentration

This concentration prepares students for careers as environmental or groundwater analysts with local health departments, state agencies like the Michigan Department of Natural Resources or Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, or federal agencies like the Bureau of Land Management, Environmental Protection Agency, National Park Service, Forest Service, Army Corps of Engineers, Geological Survey, or Soil Conservation Service. Many environmental and resource analysis careers are located in the private sector too, in consulting firms or resource development/analysis corporations.

Courses which qualify for inclusion in this area of concentration include those listed below. Not all courses are offered with regularity, owing to variation in student demand and availability of faculty resources. However, the Department schedules sufficient courses in each area to readily subscribe the three course requirement.

Several flexible courses may be used in any concentration area, when relevant to your program of study. These are individualized independent study courses or professional internships.
