This engaging and dynamic one-person show will open your eyes to the diverse world in which we live. New this year will be a question and answer session directly after the show.
11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Check your Fall Welcome packet for locations and interest session topics. You'll find a variety of interest sessions offered during this time, and you'll need to pick one that appeals to you. Find out about how to get involved on campus, adjust to college life, locate interesting volunteer opportunities, explore career options, and many more.
Noon to 9:30 p.m.
12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Lunch at your assigned cafeteria – but save room for samples from some of Kalamazoo's greatest restaurants!
Before or after you eat lunch, check out the annual Campus Resource Fair. The Campus Resource Fair will help you learn everything you ever wanted to know about Western! Chat with academic advisors, faculty, and representatives from various colleges and departments. Learn about study abroad, volunteer opportunities, homecoming, bike registration, Registered Student Organizations, Sindecuse Health Center, academic departments, and faith and spiritual groups.
2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
This unique scavenger hunt will let you explore everything that downtown Kalamazoo has to offer. Fall Welcome groups will take pictures at each location of the scavenger hunt and submit them to win prizes to downtown Kalamazoo. This opportunity will also allow students to learn how to ride the Metro Transit, which is free for all WMU students!
5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Dinner at your assigned cafeteria.
5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
7 p.m. to 7:50 p.m.
Credit cards, savings and checking accounts, bills…where does all that money go?? This presentation will help you learn how to make every penny count and put you on the right track to becoming financially savvy.
7:55 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
8:15 p.m. to 8:25 p.m.
8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The “Evolution of Dance II ” is the best way to laugh the night away. Jud Laipply is an inspirational comedian that will have you on the edge of your seat the entire night discussing how life is change, leaving you inspired and laughing.
9:45 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Leave something at home? Meijer Mania is the perfect time to pick up those final items for your room. Hop on a bus immediately following Jud Laipply, outside of Miller Auditorium. All subsequent busses will load in front of the Bernhard Center. You won't want to miss this great night, packed full with special deals, food, games, and giveaways!
