Convocation is the official kick-off to Fall Welcome 2008! You won’t want to miss this special welcome from WMU’s President, Dr. John Dunn, and distinguished faculty Dr. Steven Rhodes.

Pizza with the ProfsFlagpoles Rain site: SRC indoor tennis courts
This meet and greet is the ideal opportunity to start your academic career off on the right foot. Join faculty from all around campus for a lunch provided by Papa John’s. This is a great time to talk with professors in an informal environment. Don’t forget to bring your class schedule so you can make connections with your own professors!
1:45 to 2:30 p.m.
Academic Interest Session and Bronco ToolsCheck your packet for locations
During this time you will attend the interest session for your decided college (Arts & Sciences, Aviation, Business, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, or Health & Human Services). If you are in University Curriculum, you can choose to attend one of the above-mentioned college sessions or one of the Bronco Tools sessions.
2:45 to 3:30 p.m.
Interest SessionDunbar & Sangren
You’ll find a variety of interest sessions offered during this time, and you’ll need to pick one that appeals to you. Find out about how to get involved on campus, adjust to college life, locate interesting volunteer opportunities, explore career options, and many more.
4 to 5:30 p.m.
“I Hate Time-Management!” presentationMiller Auditorium
Who has time for time-management, anyway? Now that you are in college you might be wondering how to juggle classes, a job, campus involvement, and a social life. This engaging and humorous presentation will give you a few tips on how to be successful with all of your new freedom.
5:30 to 7 p.m.

“Risky Business” presentationMiller Auditorium
This presentation will offer information on many of the important topics to be aware of before you begin college including: campus safety, sexual assault, alcohol, and suicide prevention.
9 to 10 p.m.
Stadium NightWaldo Stadium
Stadium Night is one of the most popular events during Fall Welcome. Students have a chance to go to Waldo Stadium for a pep rally to kick off the start of an exciting Bronco Athletic season. This is a great time to meet new incoming new students and make new connections.
10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
