Over 5 million shopping trips were captured on video in Kroger, Safeway, Ahold, Giant Eagle, Food Lion and Schnuck’s and you’ll see what we discovered. An in-depth, quantitative look at key shopper metrics for the center store, aimed at pinpointing the purchase barriers and the most likely ways to break those barriers and attract shoppers/conversion. A comparative analysis of all the center store departments will provide an understanding of their relative contribution to the total store.

The warehouse club channel continues to be a growth vehicle in the retail industry and Sam’s Club has expanded around the world. With a defined format, Sam’s Club continues to innovate to better serve members and deliver on its brand promise. Todd Harbaugh, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Sam’s Club will speak to what’s worked for many years for the retailer and what changes lie ahead.
Todd joined Sam’s Club in January 2003 as Vice President of Business Member Services where he had responsibility for samsclub.com, Road Shows, Truckload Sales, Exports and the Call Center. In 2005, Todd moved to Replenishment and in 2006 was promoted to Senior Vice President of Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Pricing, Planning and Execution.
In 2008 Todd was promoted to Senior Vice President; Chief Integration Officer, facilitating collaborative transition planning while designing processes to better align Operations, Merchandising, Membership and Marketing.
