In addition to her duties as chair of the department, Dr. JudySwisher teaches courses in personal finance and retirement planning & employee benefits. Her research covers a variety of topics, including the effects of institutional trading on financial markets, equity offerings, and bankruptcy. Her research has been published in The Financial Review, the Journal of Real Estate Research and the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting. Dr. Swisher has also presented her research at numerous conferences since beginning her career in 1997. She joined the WMU faculty in 2002 after positions at Florida Atlantic University and Pennsylvania State University.
