Eligibility Criteria

Talbots, a nationwide women’s clothing retail business, offers 55 scholarships every year to woman who earned a high school diploma or a GED at least 10 years ago and are now in college or seeking to begin.

Awards

  • Awards include 5 grants of $10,000 each and 55 grants of $1,000.
  • Although the deadline is not until March 5, applicants are encouraged to apply soon; only the first 1,000 applications received nationwide will be considered.

The Women’s Education Coalition

Eligibility Criteria

The Women's Education Coalition Grant Program is a scholarship program facilitated by the Kalamazoo Community Foundation and was created 10 years ago via a joint venture between four area women's groups. Its purpose is to provide renewable grant assistance to women who are currently underemployed or unemployed and are in need of education to become financially self-sufficient. Eligible recipients must be residents of Allegan, Barry, Calhoun, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, or Van Buren counties in Michigan.
