
Michigan High School seniors planning to pursue a bachelor's degree at Western Michigan University in any of the programs listed below are invited to apply for this scholarship:
Clausing Industrial, Inc., a well-established manufacturer and distributor of machine tools in Kalamazoo, Michigan, has been offering a scholarship to attend Western Michigan University since 1953. This scholarship is open to all graduating seniors from Michigan high schools with a preference to those who have taken at least one course in industrial arts.
The award is for $1000 per year for four years provided the student continues to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and to make satisfactory progress as a full-time student towards a degree in one of the programs specified above.

This scholarship was started in 1992 to recruit high school students of high caliber to the above programs. Funds for this scholarship come from donations made to Western Michigan University by the alumni of the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department. Up to four scholarships are awarded each year.
The award is for a total of $1500 paid over a period of four years provided the student continues to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and to make satisfactory progress as a full-time student towards a degree in one of the programs specified above.
