award annually a John R. Borsos Memorial Assistantship/Associateship
to an applicant for an assistantship or associateship in the political
science department. The award is based primarily on academic record
and merit.

superior academic performance at WMU

given to those with demonstrable community service and/or political
activity

Eligibility
Criteria
- Award
is given in alternating years by the Departments of Sociology
and Political Science.

be majoring in Sociology or Political Science
- Must
be in the final semester of their junior year
- Award
is made on the basis of academic scholarship, disciplinary and
professional accomplishment, and assessed potential for and commitment
to advanced graduate work in the disciplines of either sociology
or political science.
