ACS Undergraduate Award in Analytical Chemistry

Eligibility Criteria

  • Completed third undergraduate year
  • Outstanding performance in Analytical Chemistry

Awards

Award: In Summer I session student will be awarded an eight month subscription to Analytical Chemistry and an honorary membership in the Division of Analytical Chemistry of the ACS for the same period of time (non-renewable).

Adli Kana’an Award

Eligibility Criteria

  • Junior who has completed Physical Chemistry
  • Outstanding achievement in Physical Chemistry

Awards

Award Amount: $75 for spring semester (non-renewable)

American Institute of Chemists Outstanding Senior Award

 

Eligibility Criteria

This award is presented to an outstanding senior chemistry student.

Awards

  • Award: Student receives a certificate and one year membership in the American Institute of Chemists (non-renewable).
  • Renewable for a maximum of two years

  • Scholarship will not be available until 2007

CRC Press Freshman Chemistry Achievement Award

Eligibility Criteria

This award is presented to a freshman student who has completed one full year of general chemistry and is based on performance.

Awards

Award: Student will receive CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (non-renewable).

Jensen Award

Eligibility Criteria

  • Student who has completed two semesters of Organic Chemistry within one year
  • Outstanding achievement in Organic Chemistry

Award Amount: $100 for Spring semester (non-renewable)

Craig B. Peot Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate with junior or senior status
  • Must major in Chemistry
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrate community service and/or volunteerism

  • Award Amount: Varies
  • Renewable for a maximum of two years

Dr. Susan E. Burns Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

  • Show financial need
  • Preference shall be given to a female student majoring in chemistry
  • GPA 3.0 for undergraduate and 3.50 for graduate students

Awards

Award Amount: $1000 ($500 fall/$500 spring)

Frederick W. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chemistry Award

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time junior, senior or graduate student majoring in chemistry
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 with a maximum 3.5

Awards

Award amount: Varies (renewable to requalifying students up to three consecutive academic years)

Kalamazoo Section of the American Chemical Society’s Outstanding College Chemistry Student

Eligibility Criteria

  • Undergraduate
  • Taken chemistry through first semester Physical Chemistry
  • Not a previously award recipient
  • Excellence both inside and outside the classroom

Awards

Award Amount: $500 for spring semester (non-renewable)

William McCracken Award

  • Senior
  • Chemistry major
  • Great aptitude in basic chemistry
